WAVE Bus Expands to Grass Lake: Ribbon Cutting Celebrates New Public Transportation Service

The Western Washtenaw area just got more connected! WAVE Bus recently celebrated a major milestone with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Grass Lake, marking the expansion of affordable public transportation services to this vibrant community.

Executive Director Marie Gress and Community Relations Coordinator Shasta Angel introduced the expanded services that now cover Chelsea, Dexter, Stockbridge, Manchester, Unadilla, Putnam, Grass Lake, and Waterloo areas. The ceremony, held at the historic Lost Railway Museum, symbolized the perfect connection between Grass Lake's transportation heritage and its modern mobility future.

Affordable Transportation for Everyone

WAVE Bus offers incredibly affordable transportation with fares starting at just $1 within Western Washtenaw County. Seniors, individuals with disabilities, youth, and low-income residents receive 50% off, making rides just 50 cents. For trips to broader Washtenaw County areas, standard fares are $5 ($2.50 with discount).
