A New Chapter at SAWDS VI – Missy’s II 🍔🎉
A Michigan Media House x Grass Lake Chamber Spotlight
Something exciting is sizzling on Michigan Ave — and no, it's not just the burgers.
Last week, Michigan Media House teamed up with the [Grass Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce](grasslakechamber.org) to capture the ribbon-cutting celebration at SAWDS VI – Missy’s II, one of Grass Lake’s favorite hangouts. The restaurant’s recent grand reopening marked the debut of a gorgeous screened-in patio — and a big new chapter for a business with deep local roots.
Missy’s Story: From Bartender to Business Owner
Missy, the heart behind SAWDS VI – Missy’s II, first worked at this very bar back in 1980. Since then, she's built a career out of creating welcoming spaces in Grass Lake, including Missy’s Grass Shack and Luvin' Spoonful. This latest expansion is a love letter to the community that helped build her.
“Grass Lake is still a tight community,” Missy shared.
“Everyone looks out for each other and supports local — without that, none of these businesses would be here.”
And if that doesn’t make you want to grab a seat and order a drink, we don’t know what will.
The Patio Is OPEN (and Heated!) 🔥
The new screened-in patio is ready for all seasons — complete with winter heating and live music every Saturday night. Whether you’re swinging by for a burger, drinks with friends, or just some classic small-town vibes, SAWDS VI – Missy’s II is leveling up your local night out.

Huge thanks to the [Grass Lake Chamber](INSERT CHAMBER LINK) for teaming up with us to shine a spotlight on one of Grass Lake’s finest.
Let’s keep celebrating — and supporting — the places that make our communities stronger.
Because around here, local wins.
