Asher Creek Creamery & Deli Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting in Grass Lake, MI

The heart of Grass Lake welcomed a sweet new addition on December 19, 2024, as Asher Creek Creamery & Deli celebrated their official ribbon cutting ceremony. Located at 120 West Michigan Avenue, this family-owned gem has been serving the community since opening their doors on July 30th, 2024.

Owners Heather and Mike Riccardi have created more than just a restaurant – they've built a community gathering place. With nine children of their own and a passion for entertaining, the couple naturally transitioned from hosting friends and family at home to serving the entire Grass Lake community.

"The community has been absolutely phenomenal," shares Heather Riccardi. "They've been supportive, telling us what they love and what we need help on. This is our first attempt doing food."

Mike Riccardi brings his building background and restaurant experience to the kitchen, having started washing dishes and getting "hooked by the food bug." Together, they share a passion for creating welcoming spaces where people love to gather.

Since opening in July 2024, Asher Creek has continuously evolved, starting with ice cream and gradually adding coffee, sandwiches, and breakfast options. The creamery now opens at 6:00 AM Monday through Thursday, offering convenient curbside service for busy parents dropping kids at school.

Starting December 21st, the menu will feature their specialty Smash Burgers, along with Mike's homemade soups that have already become community favorites.

Current Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Friday-Saturday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM

• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

"Our goal was to create a space that people love to come and hang out," explains Heather. "We love to see the doors open and the place full and everyone just enjoying spending time together, chitchatting around some amazing food."

The December 19th ribbon cutting celebration, created in partnership with the Grass Lake Chamber, showcased the incredible community support that has made Asher Creek's success possible. The warmth and community spirit have been instrumental in helping the Riccardi family business grow and thrive.
